MediaZen announced on the 14th the official launch of RockieTalkie, a public artificial intelligence (AI) English education service.
RockieTalkie is based on reading content from the UK company Maverick. It consists of the children's AI shadowing book friend service 'RockieTalkie Readers' and the early childhood to lower elementary English reading foundational learning program 'Talkie ABC AI Phonics.'
Both RockieTalkie Readers and Phonics utilize MediaZen's AI engine 'SpeechPro V2.' Through AI diagnostics, they provide personalized education programs and conduct △pronunciation diagnosis △verification activities △recorded content provision △learning analysis and progress tracking. Notably, both services feature a 'pronunciation guide' that allows detailed and accurate learning by checking the pronunciation completion process.
The company stated, “We launched the service based on our competitiveness as an AI voice recognition specialist company,” adding, “Before the official launch, we confirmed the learning effects through pilot projects and events at multiple English libraries in Seoul.”
They continued, “By reflecting user feedback, we officially launched the service, and from next month, RockieTalkie will be available at some libraries in Seoul and lifelong education centers in Busan.”
Meanwhile, in April, MediaZen signed a supply contract for an educational chatbot service embedded in AI digital textbooks with the education platform company NE Neungyule. They will participate as a joint business development partner for NE Neungyule in the AI digital textbook Korean language service starting in 2026.
A MediaZen representative emphasized, “We will strengthen our edutech competitiveness and diversify customers in the B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) sectors,” adding, “Sales of AI engines and service supply contracts related to AI digital textbooks are also expected to contribute to performance growth.”
