Shinhan Investment Corp. announced on the 14th that the 'Shinhan Simple Investment Whale' app, launched last year, has recorded 13,000 downloads.
'Shinhan Simple Investment Whale' is a web-based stock trading service (WTS) that Shinhan Investment Corp. launched in collaboration with Naver Whale in the first half of 2023, making it the first of its kind in the industry. WTS is a web trading system that allows stock trading without downloading a securities firm's trading system or using a public certificate.
It enables domestic stock trading within the Naver Whale browser and operates in the browser's sidebar area, allowing users to trade stocks without interrupting their original tasks such as web surfing.
Additionally, users only need a Shinhan Investment Corp. account to use the service with Naver Certificate without installing any separate security programs. There are no usage restrictions based on PC operating systems such as Windows, Mac, or Linux, and it has recorded 13,000 cumulative downloads, mainly among MacBook users.
Meanwhile, Shinhan Investment Corp. plans to expand the Shinhan Simple Investment Whale service to include overseas stock trading within this year. Furthermore, besides the web browser stock trading service, the company is actively pursuing financial product partnerships to offer customers a variety of investment options.
