Anseong-si Conducts Special Inspection of Livestock Manure Discharge Facilities

This special inspection aims to prevent the stockpiling and abandonment of livestock manure and compost, as well as the inflow of livestock manure into rivers due to rainfall in advance.

The special inspection targets livestock manure discharge facilities near the upstream areas of Geumgwang, Gosam, and Yongsul reservoirs, densely populated livestock farms adjacent to major rivers, livestock farms near public water bodies and areas with frequent complaints, livestock manure discharge facilities, and illegal compost stockpiling areas.

The city plans to focus on inspecting ▲ acts of stockpiling or abandoning livestock manure or compost near rivers or discharging them into public water bodies ▲ unauthorized discharge of livestock wastewater into public water bodies during heavy rain ▲ farms with a high possibility of leachate leakage caused by rainwater inflow into composting facilities, immature compost with high moisture content, and old treatment facilities causing odor.

The city also plans to conduct nighttime guidance and inspections during rainy weather. An official from Anseong City stated, "We will strictly punish environmental polluters based on a zero-tolerance policy."
