Following Honorary Chairman Kim's proposal to expand the support scale so that the scholars can become responsible leaders in society, the scholarship amount was increased from the previous 5 million KRW. Over the past 17 years, a total of 206 students have received scholarships amounting to approximately 1 billion KRW.
Meanwhile, Dongwon Group has been operating the Dongwon Education Foundation since 1979 to nurture talents who will become the driving force of the nation and future society. The Dongwon Education Foundation supports scholarships, research funds, and educational facilities for middle and high school students as well as university students, and promotes educational development projects. To date, it has provided scholarships totaling about 60 billion KRW to over 10,000 students.
