Daegu Cyber University TV YouTube Channel Nationwide Real-Time Live Broadcast
Daegu Cyber University held the DCU Family Day event on the 11th at Daegu University’s Freedom Square under the catchphrase "Now is the Springtime of My Life."
On this day, about 800 people including university members, current students, alumni, and their families gathered from all over the country to relieve academic stress and enjoy a time of communication and harmony.

The first part of the festival, the ‘DCU Spring Campus Tour,’ explored the university starting with a tour of the Daegu Cyber University main building, followed by visits to the Special Education Memorial Hall, Braille Library, Museum, the 18th-floor observatory of Seongsan Hall, Newton’s Apple Tree, Smart Farm, and the Evergreen Theme Park (Rye Field).
The campus tour received enthusiastic interest from students as it provided a comprehensive overview and understanding of the history of special education, which is the foundation of the university’s founding spirit and educational philosophy.
The second part of the event featured a variety of programs including ▲pre-event performances ▲opening ceremony ▲recreation ▲individual and team competitions ▲departmental brand song contest ▲a congratulatory performance by Bobby Kim ▲and a lucky draw, offering plenty of sights and entertainment.
Prior to the festival, until the 8th, the university collected videos of participants singing and dancing to the Daegu Cyber University brand song, ‘Soulmate Harmony,’ and conducted preliminary judging.
After departmental preliminary rounds, the Counseling Psychology Department won the grand prize following fierce competition on the final stage that day, and the Daegu Cyber University brand song contest, known for its addictive nature, brought joy and great response from the audience.
Especially, when Bobby Kim took the stage right after the contest, cheers and applause erupted on site. Bobby Kim first connected with Daegu Cyber University in 2012 and has been serving as the university’s model for over 10 years.
Additionally, to accommodate students who could not attend the event in person, a live broadcast was provided through the Daegu Cyber University TV YouTube channel, drawing attention.
Bobby Kim performed hit songs including his signature track "Dream of a Whale," "Alleyway," "That Guy Called Love," and "Tic Tac Toe," and with the enthusiastic response from students, even gave an encore, becoming one with the festival atmosphere.
Participating in the Daegu Cyber University festival for the first time, Bobby Kim said, “I was moved by the passion shown throughout the performance, comparable to that of students in their twenties,” and added, “Please look forward to the new brand song to be unveiled this year.”
Lee Geun-yong, President of Daegu Cyber University, said, “I hope this event inspires a sense of bonding and belonging among our students and fills them with the spirit to challenge greater dreams through a time of recharging,” and continued, “Especially this year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Reverend Lee Young-sik of Seongsan, the founder of the Youngkwang Academy Foundation, as well as the 130th year since special education began in Korea. I am pleased to be able to share this proud history with our students here on this campus.”
