Last Year, Overseas Sales Surpassed Domestic Sales
Jungjinkong Strengthens Global Competitiveness Through 'Export Voucher Program' Support
"Our robot solutions demonstrate strong competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also globally, playing a pivotal role in supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and leading national industrial development." At the vision declaration ceremony held on the 10th at Brils headquarters in Incheon, CEO Jeon Jin's words were filled with confidence. The emphasis was on global competitiveness. Founded in 2015, Brils, a robot automation solution company, has solidified its foundation in the domestic market and has been actively expanding its activities into the global market. Last year, it achieved nearly triple the export performance compared to the previous year. We heard CEO Jeon's explanation about the strength that enabled Brils to establish itself as an export company of robot automation solutions.
On the 14th, CEO Jeon said, "We operate globally in countries such as the United States, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Mexico, and Brazil, and last year, for the first time ever, our overseas sales exceeded domestic sales," adding, "We provide products with price competitiveness by combining technological superiority and cost efficiency." Brils, which recorded sales of about 15 billion KRW last year, is a specialized robot automation solution company offering customized automation solutions across various industries including food, environment, automotive, semiconductors, displays, and secondary batteries. It also develops standardized robot solutions that small-scale SMEs can use reasonably.
The strength lies in a diverse portfolio of robot solutions across various fields. From large-scale automation of assembly and inspection processes in automotive and semiconductor industries, logistics optimization using robot technology, to service sectors such as unmanned coffee machine robots and serving robots. A Brils representative explained, "Through the efficient combination of the Internet of Things and robot technology, we provide customized automation solutions. Our business is mainly conducted by adding robot systems suitable for the products of robot supply partners and ultimately supplying solutions to client companies."
Based on this technological capability, CEO Jeon has consistently focused on exports. Export sales accounted for 20-30% of total sales, showing tangible results. However, as an SME, Brils faced limitations in promotion and marketing efforts to meet new overseas customers. To overcome this, Brils received support from the 'Export Voucher' program provided by the Small and Medium Business Corporation. This is an export marketing support platform consisting of government subsidies and company contributions, allowing companies to freely select desired services and support institutions. Last year, export sales of companies supported by the Export Voucher increased by 3.6% compared to the previous year, which was 6.0 percentage points higher than the overall export growth rate of SMEs.
Through the Export Voucher, Brils renewed its existing English website with intuitive images and concise menus. They produced English corporate promotional videos and key product introduction videos, uploading them to various SNS platforms for use during overseas exhibition participation. They also utilized the Export Voucher for Google search engine optimization. As a result of readjusting the search environment with keywords appealing to potential customers interested in robot automation solutions, the number of new customer inquiries increased more than tenfold. Due to these efforts, last year's export performance increased by 165% compared to the previous year.
CEO Jeon said, "The Export Voucher was also used for international patent applications of domestic patents held by the company," adding, "It will contribute to maintaining technological leadership in the global market, reaching a broader customer base, and expanding influence."
