The Doosan Yeongang Foundation provides annual overseas study tour opportunities to teachers who have led the development of mathematics education in Korea.
On the 13th, the Doosan Yeongang Foundation signed a business agreement to support overseas study tours for recipients of the 'Korea Mathematics Education Award,' selected by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. The signing ceremony, held at the Korea Educational Facilities Safety Institute in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Lee Ju-ho, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education, Park Yong-hyun, Chairman of the Doosan Yeongang Foundation, and Jo Yul-lae, Chairman of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.

The Korea Mathematics Education Award is hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, recognizing teachers who have contributed to the advancement of mathematics education annually. With this agreement, awardees from this year onward will be able to participate in overseas study tours provided by the Doosan Yeongang Foundation.
Park Yong-hyun, Chairman of the Doosan Yeongang Foundation, stated, "We believe that providing teachers with opportunities for broad experiences is the path to advancing our country's education and nurturing future talents, and we will continue to support this."
Meanwhile, since 1989, the Doosan Yeongang Foundation has been conducting overseas academic study tour support projects for teachers, with 3,283 teachers participating to date.
