"Ordinance to Abolish Violates Constitution and Superior Laws"
The Chungnam Office of Education filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court on the 13th against the ordinance to repeal the Chungnam Student Human Rights Ordinance, which was passed by the Chungnam Provincial Council.
On the 24th, the Office of Education judged that the repeal ordinance, re-approved by the Chungnam Provincial Council, violated the Constitution and higher laws, and submitted a petition for nullification to the Supreme Court. Along with this, they also submitted a request for suspension of execution to prevent confusion and damage in the student human rights protection system.
An official from the Office of Education stated, "We will do our best to ensure that no confusion arises in schools and no gaps occur in the protection of student human rights due to the repeal of the Student Human Rights Ordinance as the trial proceeds."
