A Total of 20 People Will Be Selected by Lottery, Encouraging Interest and Participation in Changwon
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is holding an event offering prizes to donors who participate in the Hometown Love Donation campaign until May 31st, in celebration of Family Month in May.
Donors who contribute 100,000 KRW or more to Changwon City through the Hometown Love e-Um site or any National Agricultural Cooperative Federation branch nationwide during the event period and order a thank-you gift will be automatically entered into a draw. Among the participants, 20 people will be selected by lottery to receive prizes worth approximately 30,000 KRW.
The Hometown Love Donation system allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their registered resident address. Donations up to 100,000 KRW are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW receive a 16.5% tax credit. Donors can receive thank-you gifts worth up to 30% of their donation amount.
Jo Young-wan, head of the Taxation Division, stated, “We prepared this event to show our gratitude to many people who think of Changwon during Family Month in May,” and added, “We will continue to encourage ongoing donation participation from supporters of Changwon through various events that increase donors’ interest and satisfaction.”
