E-book Published to Enhance Employees' Cost Accounting Expertise and Improve Work Convenience

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Su-hee) announced that it has produced and distributed the "2024 Cost Calculation Practical Manual" as an e-book to enhance the expertise of contract ordering staff in cost calculation and improve work convenience.
The district has assigned experts in civil engineering, architecture, and electrical fields to conduct in-depth cost analysis to secure professionalism in contract review tasks. Through routine audits and contract reviews, it strives to prevent budget waste factors in advance, thereby promoting efficient budget execution and strengthening fiscal soundness.
However, due to unfamiliar terms in laws and subordinate regulations and difficulties in preparing cost calculations during public contract signing, the ordering staff face work burdens. To resolve this, the district organized difficult terms and related regulations in the contract procedure, included essential items by step and guidelines for preparing cost calculation sheets, and published the "2024 Cost Calculation Practical Manual" e-book to help easily understand the flow of contract procedures.
Since 2020, the Gangdong-gu Cost Calculation Practical Manual has been updated annually to reflect revisions such as ratios and unit prices. This edition includes ▲ the concept of public contracts ▲ step-by-step procedures of public contracts ▲ guidelines for preparing estimated prices ▲ and guidelines for preparing cost calculation sheets.
Additionally, as an appendix, frequently confused concepts are organized in a Q&A format, making it easy for practitioners new to ordering tasks to find information. Complex contract contents are also summarized by chapter for easy overview.
Lee Su-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, "Through this manual, we hope to enhance the work convenience of ordering department staff and serve as a useful guide during contracts, contributing to improving the quality of contracted goods and securing the soundness of local finances."
