Ulsan City Holds 'Food Safety Day' Event with Families

Experience Event at Ulsan Grand Park Main Gate on May 11

Ulsan City will hold the ‘Food Safety Day’ event on the 11th at the main gate of Ulsan Grand Park.

Ulsan City announced that it will hold the event under the theme ‘Food Safety Together, Healthy Ulsan’ to raise citizens' awareness of food safety.

‘Food Safety Day’ was designated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on May 14th since 2002 to increase public awareness of the importance of food safety and safety consciousness, and this year marks its 23rd anniversary.

About 60 participants, including district and county Children's Meal Management Support Centers, consumer food hygiene inspectors, and public officials, will attend this event.

On this day, Ulsan City will set up three booths at the main gate plaza of Ulsan Grand Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering various experiences such as ▲Children’s proper handwashing view box experience ▲Making squeaky vegetable and fruit soaps ▲Making dining etiquette fans ▲Decorating vegetable and fruit eco-bags.

In addition, there will be an exhibition of a rapid food poisoning inspection vehicle, a prevention campaign, and advance promotional visits for the hygiene rating system in preparation for the designation of a specialized pilot zone for hygiene ratings of restaurants around Ulsan Grand Park.

An official from Ulsan City said, “Through the Food Safety Day commemorative event, we plan to promote the importance of food safety to the public and prevent food poisoning in advance in preparation for the upcoming summer season.”
