As soon as the official theme song for this year's Paris Olympics was released, it was engulfed in plagiarism controversy. The reason was its similarity to the theme song of the 1993 movie 'Jurassic Park.'

On the 9th (local time), the British daily The Times reported that plagiarism allegations arose immediately after the Paris Olympic theme song was first revealed to the public on the night of the 8th. The theme song, composed by Victor Le Masne, was first performed at the torch relay ceremony that would light the Paris Olympics. However, some viewers watching this scene on TV immediately criticized it as 'plagiarism' through social media (SNS).

The French daily Ouest-France pointed out that as soon as the first part was played, people immediately started posting online saying, "I've heard this somewhere before." Kere, a film writer and online film program host, posted the Olympic theme song on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, "Thanks to John Williams for his excellent and original music." John Williams is the composer of the Jurassic Park theme song.

In addition, criticism such as "Is the 2024 Olympics sponsored by the Jurassic Park theme song?" was posted, and some even joked about including dinosaurs in the Olympic Games.

Le Masne, who composed the Paris Olympic theme song, was also a member of the electropop duo 'House de Racket' over 20 years ago. However, the Olympic organizers avoided giving a direct answer regarding plagiarism, stating, "Le Masne composed a captivating official theme song embodying the spirit of the 2024 Paris Olympics." Le Masne had previously stated that he intended to create a song that would not only accompany the most memorable moments of the Olympics but also remain in the memories of all generations.
