Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) received the highest grade (SA) for the second consecutive year in the ‘2024 Local Government Heads’ Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation’ conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, following last year’s evaluation.
This evaluation was conducted on 226 local governments nationwide, assessing five areas: ▲Pledge Implementation Completion (100 points) ▲2023 Goal Achievement (100 points) ▲Resident Communication (100 points) ▲Web Communication (Pass/Fail) ▲Consistency (Pass/Fail). Scores were converted to a 100-point scale and classified into six grades (SA, A, B, C, D, F).
Dobong-gu is actively promoting a total of 51 pledge projects across five areas: ▲Vibrant Win-Win Economic City ▲Safe and Healthy Happy City ▲Convenient Transportation Balanced Development City ▲High-Quality Education and Culture City ▲Transparent and Innovative Integrity Administration City.
In particular, the pledge project ‘Confirmation of GTX-C Dobong-gu Entire Section Underground Construction’ was completed in May last year, and the project is being promoted with the goal of opening in 2028.
For the pledge ‘Preparation of Utilization Plan for Chemical Unit Relocation Site,’ Dobong-gu was selected for the Seoul Hanok Village creation contest and tentatively decided on the relocation of Kukkiwon. For the pledge ‘Early Construction and Promotion of Ui-Banghak Line Extension,’ the turnkey bidding method was finally confirmed. For the pledge ‘Promotion of Banghak Station Environmental Improvement,’ visible results such as the announcement of the Banghak Station design contest were achieved.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “This result is the fruit of efforts to communicate directly with residents by working on the ground at civil complaint sites over the past two years,” adding, “We will continue to actively promote pledge projects while communicating with residents based on past achievements.”
