The Korea Semiconductor Academy Gyeonggi-do Education Center opened on the 9th.
On the same day, Gyeonggi-do announced the opening of the 'Korea Semiconductor Academy Gyeonggi-do Education Center' in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association. The education center is located in Building B of the Pangyo Global R&D Center, with a dedicated area of 990㎡, equipped with 5 classrooms, 1 large conference room, and 2 practice rooms.
It provides education on semiconductor manufacturing processes, materials, parts, equipment, and fabless design targeting university students majoring in electronic engineering and unemployed individuals in the province, aiming to train at least 800 people annually.
Kim Hyun-dae, Director of the Future Growth Industry Bureau of Gyeonggi-do, stated, "Through the Korea Semiconductor Academy Gyeonggi-do Education Center, we expect to provide customized workforce training based on the demands of semiconductor companies such as semiconductor design," adding, "We will do our best to nurture semiconductor professionals by establishing a close cooperative system with related organizations."
