BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 9th that it dispatched a volunteer team to Daeyang-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, which was damaged by heavy rain, to support flood recovery and delivered relief supplies.
Yangsan Village, located in Daeyang-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, suffered significant damage as about 30 households were flooded and more than 50 disaster victims occurred due to the heavy rain on the 5th.
In response, BNK Gyeongnam Bank delivered relief supplies such as bottled water, work gloves, and boots to the affected area and promptly began recovery support by dispatching the newly launched ‘BNK Volunteer Team’ in March.
The volunteer team comforted the villagers and worked hard cleaning flooded homes and organizing damaged crops.
Choi Dae-sik, head of the Social Contribution and Public Relations Department, said, “We extend our condolences to the residents who suffered great damage due to the sudden flood. We hope that the recovery will be swift so that the residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
