Dong-A University Selected for 15 Consecutive Years in the 'High School Education Contribution University Support Project'

Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) has been selected for the 'University Support Project Contributing to High School Education' for 15 consecutive years.

The University Support Project Contributing to High School Education, led by the Ministry of Education, aims to ensure that universities operate college admission processes fairly and transparently, reflect high school curricula in college entrance evaluations, alleviate students' admission burdens, and enhance the quality of high school education.


Since 2010, Dong-A University has been promoting the high school education contribution project, receiving a total of 14.8 billion KRW in support to hire and train admissions officers, operate various programs to strengthen high school education, and improve admission processes.


Dong-A University was selected in the recent evaluation that decides continued support in the final year of the third cycle of the high school education contribution project and will carry out the project until February 2025.


Dong-A University received favorable evaluations in key assessment indicators such as securing fairness and accountability in college admissions, reducing the burden of college entrance preparation for examinees, strengthening the university's student selection function and expertise, and enhancing the linkage between high school education and college admission processes, leading to its selection for this project.


In particular, Dong-A University focused on designing admission processes reflecting the revised 2015 curriculum and establishing new programs to enhance high school education quality as a foundation for the introduction of the high school credit system.


Shin Sang-moon, Director of Admissions at Dong-A University, said, “Dong-A University showed a high competition rate in last year’s admissions, which was the biggest challenge amid the declining school-age population trend. Based on this strength, we will proactively respond to the major change of the full-scale implementation of the high school credit system, continue to attract talented students, and maintain our status as a prestigious regional private university.”
