All Jangyu Youth Gather... Gimhae Youth Harmony Center 'Station-G Jangyu' Opens on the 10th

‘Youth Harmony Center Station-G Jangyu,’ a hub-type youth center in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, will open on the 10th.

Station-G Jangyu is built with an area of 132㎡ at Jangyu Danurim Center in Bugok-dong and will officially operate from this day after a pilot operation period in April.

Specializing in youth culture and creative networking, it operates programs supporting culture, creation, and employment, and provides spaces necessary for job preparation.

This year, programs include ▲Youth Culture School operation ▲Support for youth communities ▲Support for youth artists' creation ▲Support for purchasing youth books ▲Special lectures and counseling for employment and start-ups, and a study cafe and resting area with multifunction printers and PCs will be open to youth.

Gimhae City explained that although it is a young city with about 151,000 youth accounting for 28.4% of the total population, the Gimhae Youth Daum Youth Center, opened in April 2021, is located in Dongsang-dong, the old downtown area, causing inconvenience for youth in Jangyu, Juchon, and Jinrye areas.

Therefore, it was added that they have been preparing to open Station-G Jangyu since 2022 to establish specialized youth centers by region.

The city plans to open ‘Station-G Sambang’ in September and additionally establish ‘Station-G Jinyeong’ in the Yeoraeri area of Jinyeong-eup in January 2026.

The opening ceremony of Station-G Jangyu will be held at 6 p.m. on the 10th and is open to all citizens.

Mayor Hong Taeyong said, “I understand that the lives of youth are very difficult as the economic recession and employment market downturn continue,” and added, “Starting with the opening of this Youth Harmony Center, we will make further efforts to expand shared youth spaces that many young people can comfortably use.”
