Accelerating Proactive Administration for Livelihood Stability
In Areas Such as Employment Jobs and Foreign Worker Hiring

Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is accelerating proactive administration to stabilize people's livelihoods. On the 9th, Sancheong-gun announced that it has prepared a public contest to discover regulatory tasks related to daily life.

Hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Gyeongnam Province, and jointly organized by Sancheong-gun, anyone in the local community can participate in this contest. The contest fields include employment and jobs, employment and policies for foreign workers, and public safety.

In particular, the focus is on discovering tasks related to unreasonable regulations that hinder people's livelihoods. The contest selections will be announced between November and December, with 20 works selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (Minister's Award worth approximately 3.7 million KRW) and 6 works by Gyeongnam Province (worth approximately 1.4 million KRW), based on comprehensive evaluation of creativity, feasibility, and public impact after passing the first, second, and third rounds of screening.

Additionally, proposals discovered through the contest that can be resolved internally will be immediately addressed through revisions of local ordinances, and those requiring legal or institutional improvements will be formally recommended to central government ministries as agenda items.

A Sancheong-gun official said, “Please check the announcement section on the county office website and submit many applications by the 31st,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to foster a culture of regulatory innovation by improving unreasonable administrative regulations.”

Meanwhile, last year, the proposal titled ‘Unification of the supply area for negotiated transfer residential sites’ submitted through the regulatory reform contest was accepted by central government ministries, and the county head was awarded a commendation.

In the regulatory innovation best practice competition hosted by Gyeongnam Province, the ‘Nation’s first Sancheong-Jinju mutual growth gift certificate issuance’ was selected as an excellent institution, and through its own contest, 40 regulatory innovation tasks were received, discovering shadow regulation improvements, key pending tasks, and proactive administrative tasks.
