Training Security Screening Personnel and Hospital Support Staff
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 9th that it will launch a ‘Customized Employment Education Support Project’ that provides job-specific training and connects participants with employment opportunities. The strategy aims to increase employment rates by linking outstanding talents trained through theoretical and practical education with jobs.
This project is divided into ▲Support for Security Job Creation ▲Training of Security Screening Specialists for Airports and National Key Facilities ▲Training of Hospital Work Assistants.
The ‘Support for Security Job Creation’ sector involves a professional security education company conducting ‘New Security Guard Training’ and then connecting trainees with related companies. The training will be held at Estate Security Education Center from June 11 to October 24 this year, with a total of 10 sessions.
For 120 Gangseo-gu residents, theoretical classes such as Security Business Act and Crime Prevention Theory, and practical classes such as arrest and self-defense techniques and equipment usage will be provided. Applicants can choose their preferred session and apply by phone or visit the Estate Security Education Center.
The ‘Training of Security Screening Specialists for Airports and National Key Facilities’ sector provides initial security screening training and new special guard training, followed by employment connections with subsidiaries of the airport corporation.
The training will be conducted at the Aviation Security Academy training center from the 27th of this month until August. Trainees will complete 152 hours of education covering terrorism response, aviation security, shooting, self-defense, and risk management to build the necessary competencies as security screening personnel. Applications must be submitted to the Aviation Security Academy by filling out the form on the district’s website under Notices/News by the 22nd of this month. Ten trainees will be finally selected through document screening and interviews.
The ‘Training of Hospital Work Assistants’ sector provides specialized caregiving and ward assistant job training and connects trainees with hospitals for employment.
The training will take place at the Gangseo Women’s Human Resources Development Center from July 15 to August 26, offering 120 hours of education on basic nursing theory, emergency response, sterilization and disinfection, and other hospital-related tasks. Applications can be made by visiting the training center or via phone or online by July 5. Twenty female job seekers will be finally selected through document screening and interviews.
