Beauty Show, Young Chef Competition, Cooking Class... Experience Programs

Pohang City will hold the ‘2024 Pohang Mi(味) & Mi(美) Festa’ on the 10th and 11th at the Yeongildae Beach Seaside Pavilion Square.

This event, under the slogan ‘Adding Beauty to the Taste of Pohang,’ will combine the existing Taste Festival and Beauty Festival to offer citizens more attractions and experiential programs.

As part of the event program coinciding with Food Safety Week, there will be ▲a Food Safety Day ceremony ▲a Young Chef Cooking Competition, and the ambitious Gourmet Festival.

Additionally, in connection with the Yeongildae Northern Market Cheongmak Festival, the event will feature ▲free tasting and exhibition of blue-backed fish sashimi ▲robotic desserts using food tech ▲cooking classes for the whole family ▲sales of representative foods from the Bakery Association and the Food Service Industry Special Zone ▲and live commerce.

For the Beauty Festival, various beauty experience programs are prepared, including a beauty show with Pohang beauty experts, hairstyling, nail art, massage, face painting, and personal color analysis.

Kim Misook, Director of the Food Industry Division, said, “Since there are diverse experiential events linking taste and beauty that the whole family can enjoy together, we hope many citizens will visit the festival site,” and added, “We will strive even harder to develop various policies for the advancement of the local food and beauty sectors.”
