[Featured Stock] Cots Technology Rises on Large-Scale Power System Supply Solving Power Supply Imbalance

Kots Technology is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that it developed the entire control system applied to ultra-high voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) together with Hyosung Heavy Industries Research Institute and delivered it to Korea Electric Power Corporation.

According to the industry, Kots Technology began pilot operation in 2018 after developing the HVDC system with Hyosung Heavy Industries. HVDC is a large-scale power system that can resolve power supply imbalances. Kots Technology manufactures and produces the SM Controller, which is applied integrally to HVDC.

The SM Controller is a controller located at the lowest level of the control hierarchy of the HVDC system. It receives operation commands from the ARM controller and directly drives the SM Controller. In case of an internal fault in the SM Controller, it autonomously monitors the fault, disconnects from the system, and protects the HVDC system.

Additionally, the SM Controller controller transmits the status information of the SM Controller to the ARM controller, enabling the ARM controller to perform algorithms.
