"Every Friday Evening in May"... '1st Sinchon Indie Music Festival'

Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 8th that it will hold the '2024 1st Sinchon Indie Music Festival' on Friday evenings in May in Sinchon, the street of youth.

On the first day of the festival, May 10th, from 7 to 9 PM, Yoon Ddan Ddan, Macguffin, and Wishis will perform indie folk and indie rock at Sinchon Star Square. On the 17th, at the same time, Iyuka and Aksadeul, Kim Boseok, Sanha, and Suyoon will hold acoustic performances at Sinchon Boxquare.

On the 24th, from 7 to 9 PM, Sweon, Kwak Sangwoo, Kwon Gyeol, and Jeon Doeul will perform indie songs at Changcheon Culture Park. On the last day, the 31st, from 6 to 9 PM, Joongsik-i Band and Adios Audio will present rock performances at Sinchon Star Square.

The festival will also operate the 'Rookie Musician Step-up' program. Six amateur musician teams active in Seodaemun-gu, pre-selected, will perform for 35 minutes each during the events on the 17th or 24th. The two teams that receive the most popularity through on-site sticker voting and online (Google Form) voting will also participate in the performance on the 31st.

Mayor Lee Seongheon said, "We expect the Sinchon Indie Music Festival, an open concert that anyone can visit and enjoy, to attract many audiences and also revitalize the local commercial district."
