Lorasta, Steam Iron Reward Sale Event for Family Month

Swiss high-end home appliance brand Laurastar is holding its first-ever trade-in event at department store outlets in celebration of Family Month in May.

Marking its 8th year since launching in Korea, Laurastar expressed the deep purpose of the event, hoping that more consumers can enjoy the convenience and joy of life by experiencing their steam irons that combine powerful steam technology with luxurious design through this trade-in sale.

In this trade-in event, customers can return any iron regardless of brand and purchase Laurastar’s popular product, the ‘LIFT+ Swiss Edition,’ at a significantly discounted price. The product, normally priced around 1,390,000 KRW, will be available for approximately 890,000 KRW, making it an attractive option for consumers looking to buy a steam iron. Additionally, to enhance customer convenience, the company has eliminated the hassle of collecting and disposing of the returned products.

Founded in Switzerland in 1980, Laurastar is a global iron company specializing in research and development of irons for over 44 years. It is a premium home appliance brand exported to 53 countries worldwide and holds the number one position in the European market.

Laurastar is renowned as a luxury iron brand due to its DMS (Dry Microfine Steam) ultra-fine dry steam technology, which emits steam at temperatures above 150°C and speeds of 104 km/h, enabling easy ironing at home. The product boasts excellent performance with garment care functions that include high-temperature steam sterilization to remove various harmful bacteria, fine dust, and odors.

Moreover, Laurastar prevents limescale buildup by using water filters and provides customers with proper ironing care methods and usage instructions to ensure long-lasting product use, preventing indiscriminate replacement or disposal of the product.

A representative from Gate Vision, Laurastar’s official importer, stated, “Every year, 92 million tons of clothing waste is generated, including clothes that are discarded due to improper management and irons that break down within 2-3 years. This trade-in event holds great significance as it allows consumers to wear properly cared-for clothes longer, not only by using a luxury iron like Laurastar but also by maintaining garments properly.” They added, “We are committed to always providing customers with a valuable lifestyle.”

They continued, “The ‘LIFT Plus’ product featured in this trade-in event is a limited edition ‘Swiss Edition’ that has become Laurastar’s signature model, selling out for four consecutive years on Hyundai Home Shopping’s ‘Wang Young-eun’s Talk Together.’ It is a popular model recently sold out on CJ Home Shopping’s ‘Kang Joo-eun’s Good Life,’ and we hope consumers will enjoy this product with the best benefits.”

This trade-in event is held simultaneously at 19 Laurastar directly operated department store outlets as well as the official online mall, offering the same price benefits. Offline, customers can observe product demonstrations through experience services and try the products themselves.

Details on participating stores and the promotion can be found on the Laurastar official mall.
