Seodaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Seong-heon) announced on the 7th that it recently held an inauguration ceremony for the 'Seodaemun-gu Active Administration Committee' at the district office's main conference room and appointed 35 new civilian members to promote a proactive public service culture.

The Active Administration Committee deliberates and decides on ▲active administration implementation plans ▲opinions on matters directly requested by public officials ▲selection of outstanding public officials in active administration ▲and exemplary cases of active administration.

The committee consists of a total of 40 members, including 5 ex officio members. Additionally, the 35 civilian members are composed of 7 specialized members in fields such as law, youth, and administration, and 28 village specialists. The term of these members is three years, with the possibility of one renewal.

Seodaemun-gu expects that the resident-participatory Active Administration Committee will discover various policy tasks from the residents' perspective and propose solutions to problems, contributing to the realization of '100% resident satisfaction through active administration.'

Lee Seong-heon, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, “I look forward to the committee’s active role in enabling public officials to carry out their duties based on autonomy and responsibility without being constrained by regulations, thereby producing field-centered active administration results that residents can feel.”
