Korea Forest Service Receives Presidential Citation for Government Innovation Evaluation Two Years in a Row

The Korea Forest Service announced on the 7th that it received the Presidential Citation for two consecutive years in the central and local government innovation evaluation hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In the evaluation, the Korea Forest Service received high marks for strengthening communication with the public during the policy process.

Efforts such as activating public participation groups like the ‘National Policy Design Group’ and the ‘365 Forest Love Evaluation Group,’ and actively providing digital services to enhance public convenience by integrating reservation services for arboretums and natural recreation forests through the forest recreation integrated platform ‘Sopnadeul-e’ were key factors.

Additionally, joint initiatives with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, such as organizing an organizational culture talk concert, and hosting the ‘Innovation Relay’ with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on topics like forest disaster response and organizational culture innovation, helped spread an atmosphere of innovation both inside and outside the agency, which was positively evaluated.
