Two Dead and Injured in Seoul Apartment Stabbing... Man in His 80s Turns Himself In

Conflict Over Financial Issues

An man in his 80s wielded a weapon in an apartment in Seoul, resulting in one death and one injury.

On the 7th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that they have arrested and are investigating an 80-year-old man, Mr. A, on suspicion of murder.

According to the police, Mr. A is accused of wielding a weapon against Ms. B, a woman in her 50s, and her son at an apartment in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 8 a.m. that day.

Ms. B was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away. Ms. B's son was also taken to the hospital and is receiving treatment.

Immediately after the crime, Mr. A went to a nearby police substation and surrendered. It is known that Mr. A had ongoing conflicts with Ms. B over financial issues.

The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the crime and plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A soon.
