The humanities festival, taking place around Mudeungsan on June 1st and 2nd, features programs such as ▲ Mudeung Humanities Run Walk ▲ Humanities Forest Tour ▲ Chunsul Private Garden ▲ Forest of Time, Mudeung ▲ Uijae Drawing Contest, allowing participants to enjoy the festival through various activities like walking, meditation, and drawing.

The festival's opening event, 'Mudeung Humanities Run Walk,' is a walking program from Hakun Elementary School to Munbinjeongsa, the main stage of the festival, where participants can fully enjoy early summer at Mudeung. The 'Humanities Forest Tour' offers experiences in meditation, painting, and calligraphy themed around Ohbang Choi Heungjong, the owner of Chunsulheon, Uijae Heo Baekryeon, and Seoka Choi Wonsun, along with humanities commentary.

'Chunsul Private Garden' allows participants to calm their minds through the meditation tool Singing Bowl and Chunsul tea, while 'Forest of Time, Mudeung' presents a site-specific play with a time-travel concept centered on figures who stayed at Mudeungsan. The Uijae Drawing Contest provides a space for infants, children, and adolescents to express their thoughts about Mudeungsan through drawings, with 58 winners to be selected.

Applications for program participation can be made by checking the detailed schedule on the Mudeungsan Humanities Festival website and accessing the provided link. All programs except 'Forest of Time, Mudeung' are free of charge.

Additionally, as an opening project of the humanities festival, a photo certification event will be held at the 'World's Highest Humanities Library - 1187 Library' set up at Jangbuljae on Mudeungsan. Visitors to Jangbuljae can take a certification photo, send it according to on-site instructions, and enter a draw to receive coffee coupons.

Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "We have prepared a variety of programs so that people can experience the diverse charms of Mudeungsan, which has been enjoyed mainly through hiking, through the second humanities festival." He added, "We hope many citizens of Gwangju will visit this two-day festival from June 1st to 2nd and enjoy a humanities lifestyle of rest and healing."
