Although Changwon FC had a slow start in the early 2024 K3 League, they have recently been on the rise. On the 5th, during the heavy rain on Children's Day, Changwon FC won the 8th round K3 League match against FC Mokpo 3-0, marking their third consecutive victory.

Under the leadership of Coach Lee Young-jin and the players' strong passion for competition, Changwon FC has recorded 4 wins and 1 draw since their home game victory against Busan Transportation Corporation on April 7th, climbing to 5th place among the 16 teams in the K3 League.

Changwon FC launched its foundation in January this year and has been organizing its office, recruiting players, participating in the K3 League, and operating youth soccer teams, planning and promoting its core projects. They also offer free admission and various events and prize giveaways at every home game, making great efforts to foster a soccer boom.

Recently, they completed the selection of a passionate cheering squad for home games. They have signed sponsorship agreements with Ssingssing Hospital, Donghae Enterprises, and Turtle Advertising, and have received support from numerous sponsors such as Nonghyup, BNK Gyeongnam Bank, and Namhae Garlic Research Institute, focusing on securing Changwon FC’s self-sustainability.

Deputy Mayor Jo said, “I hope all Changwon FC players will stay strong and deliver lively games to bring joy to the citizens, encouraging many to visit the soccer stadium,” adding, “Changwon City will also actively strive to provide continuous and comprehensive administrative support so that Changwon FC can establish itself as a prestigious club in the K3 League.”
