Kakao Pay Launches Personalized Financial Analysis and Prediction Service 'Geumyung Biseo'

Providing Customized Information on Salaries, Savings, and Loan Maturities

Kakao Pay announced on the 7th that it has launched a financial data analysis and prediction service called ‘Financial Secretary.’ This service analyzes the user's financial status based on various data, predicts necessary actions for the user, and provides real-time personalized financial information.

The Financial Secretary offers services to effectively manage financial activities closely linked to daily life, such as salary, savings, and lease loan maturities. On payday, it calculates the so-called ‘Kahu Salary,’ which is the salary received minus card payments. Users can request consumption analysis from the Financial Secretary or ask how to manage their salary and receive tailored information recommendations. If a savings maturity date is approaching, it also informs users of various ways to increase their lump sum. When a lease loan maturity is near, it helps users check necessary financial information in advance according to their future plans.

Kakao Pay designed the user experience to support not only users who are active in asset management and investment but also those who are not. To make it easy for users who find finance difficult to understand, the service flow is structured as a conversation with the Kakao Friends character Chunsik. Without having to search for information themselves, Chunsik quickly and easily explains not only alerts about each user's financial status but also ways to gain financial benefits.

For a more sophisticated service, Kakao Pay is currently analyzing user patterns based on financial indicators, economic trends, and MyData from the past 10 years and developing its own data models. Going forward, it plans to provide hyper-personalized services through vast data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

The Financial Secretary service is provided when users subscribe to Kakao Pay MyData and link their assets. It can be accessed from the ‘OOO’s News’ section at the top of the ‘Assets’ tab in the KakaoTalk and Kakao Pay applications.
