'2024 Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival' Held from 18th to 25th... Ryu Gyeonggi, Jungnang District Mayor, Conducts Safety Inspection at Festival Site

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) conducted an on-site inspection on the 3rd to ensure a safe and successful event ahead of the ‘2024 Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival’.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi visited the Jungnangcheon area where the festival will be held and walked approximately 2.5 km to personally check the overall festival preparations.

He inspected the growth condition of the roses at Jungnang Rose Park and the Rose Tunnel, the main stages of the festival where roses bloom in full. He also reviewed the progress of safety, traffic, parking, cleaning, sanitation, facility installation, and price stabilization policies around the festival sites including Junghwa Sports Park and Jungnangcheon-ro.

In particular, he carefully examined safety management measures to ensure the safety of visitors. The district plans to deploy a total of 2,456 safety personnel throughout the festival site from May 15 to June 2 to focus on safety management. The intention is to establish thorough safety measures not only during the festival but also before and after the event.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi said, “We are making thorough preparations so that the Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival can be a joyful event that raises pride among Jungnang residents and brings great happiness to visitors. Above all, we will perfectly ensure a safe festival by preemptively inspecting and meticulously preparing for any potential risks.”

The ‘2024 Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival,’ known as the most beautiful festival in Seoul that will brilliantly decorate May in Jungnang-gu, will be held for eight days from May 18 to 25 along the Jungnangcheon area. The main event, the Grand Rose Festival, will take place for two days from May 18 to 19 at Junghwa Sports Park, and on May 25, the ‘Jungnang Artist Festival’ will be held around Gyeomjaegyo Bridge as a related event.

This year’s festival will expand citizen participation programs such as the rose parade and singing contest, and strengthen the rose theme by operating the Rose Art Garden where visitors can experience everything about roses. Additionally, to allow visitors not only to enjoy the festival but also to participate and fully savor the atmosphere, various experiential programs, cultural performances, and attractions including food will be provided.
