40s Worker Dies After Being Caught in Machine in Gangnam, Seoul

A worker was caught in a machine and died in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

According to the Suseo Police Station and fire authorities in Seoul on the 5th, a man in his 40s was caught in a hopper at a workplace in Irwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 7:14 a.m. that day. A hopper is a large container used to store coal, sand, gravel, and other materials.

The fire authorities responded to a report that "a person was caught in a machine." However, the man was found in cardiac arrest and was transported to the hospital, where he ultimately died.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident and whether safety regulations at the site were violated.
