President Yoon Holds Children's Day Event at Cheongwadae: "Meeting Children Is an Exciting Occasion"

Colored Pencils, Coloring Books, and Other Gifts

President Yoon Suk-yeol invited about 360 children and their families from across the country to the Cheong Wa Dae Yeonmugwan on May 5th to celebrate Children's Day.


President Yoon Holds Children's Day Event at Cheongwadae: "Meeting Children Is an Exciting Occasion" President Yoon Suk-yeol is making cookies with children at the Children's Day invitation event held at the Yeonmugwan of the Blue House.

In his greeting on the day, President Yoon said, "Meeting children is always an exciting event," and added, "I also thank the parents, teachers, and facility workers who strive to help children grow up bright and healthy."


President Yoon experienced making air-purifying plant frames with the children and watched a bubble magic show performance. The event was attended by children from childcare facilities and foster care, children living in rural and island areas, children with disabilities, children from multicultural families, families with multiple children, children of war casualties and fallen soldiers, as well as students from Neulbom School, where President Yoon volunteered as a special one-day instructor.


The children entered Yeonmugwan to the welcome of the military band and participated in activities such as making healthy snacks, creating AI companion pets, experiencing fire safety, and trying out pet grooming. Attendees were given gifts including colored pencils, coloring books, and casual watches from the Presidential Office.
