On the 4th, a day before Children's Day, the "14th Seodaemun-gu Children's Festival" was held at Hongje Waterfall Plaza and along Hongjecheon Stream in Seodaemun.
On this day, 60 booths across four sections (performance, play, experience, food) were operated, offering children a variety of programs.
Children enjoyed Taekwondo demonstrations, magic shows, bubble shows, and orchestra performances in the "Performance Section," while in the "Play Section," they experienced various rides, rode in armored vehicles, tried out being police officers and firefighters, escaped mazes, and played basketball, shooting, fishing, and whack-a-mole games.
The "Experience Section" featured storytelling by the fairy tale bus Boong Boongi, face painting, nail art, hair art, making animal candles, plaster air fresheners, paper insects, picture card frames, Taekwondo (kicking, breaking) and CPR experiences, adding to the children's interest.
The Seodaemun-gu Children's Festival was hosted by Seodaemun-gu and the Seoul Youth Filial Piety Volunteer Group, with support from the 56th Army Division, Seodaemun Police Station, Seodaemun Fire Station, and Woncheon Church.
Recently, the district enhanced convenience for the festival by creating a plaza around "Seodaemun Hongje Waterfall" and the nearby "CAFE Waterfall," which have become global healing spots. The Seodaemun-gu Children's Festival will continue until Children's Day on the 5th.
