"‘Museum to Become a Hub of Local Culture’... Unique Co. Donates 100 Million Won to Dong-A University"

Used as a development fund for Seokdang Museum

CEO Young-gu An of Unique Co., Ltd. generously donated 100 million KRW to the Seokdang Museum at Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo).

The recent endowment ceremony held in the Seokdang Museum's small conference room was attended by Vice President Jae-beom An (adjunct professor of Economics and son of CEO An), Sang-hee Jeong (emeritus professor of Economics and full-time director of the Dong-A Hak-suk Foundation), and Ki-soo Kim, director of the Seokdang Museum.

CEO An's donation will be used as a development fund for the Seokdang Museum at Dong-A University.

On the day, Vice President An said, "I hope this helps the Seokdang Museum, a pride of the prestigious Dong-A University, to serve as a hub leading regional culture."

Director Kim Ki-soo expressed, "We are grateful for the donation and will use it valuably to help the Seokdang Museum, a regional cultural hub, become an international leading complex cultural institution."

The attendees of the endowment ceremony also took time to view national treasures and other exhibits housed at the Seokdang Museum.

Unique Co., Ltd., established in 1971, is known as the first company in Korea to develop automotive clocks. Since then, it has grown into a global manufacturer of core automotive parts by consecutively developing solenoid valves for automatic transmissions, hydrogen fuel cell control valves, refrigerant control valves, and SBW actuators.

In 2022, Dong-A University and Unique Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding for joint research and industry-academia cooperation in the field of renewable energy, as well as for fostering outstanding talent.

A ceremony is taking place where Ahn Young-gu, CEO and Chairman of Unique, is donating 100 million won in development funds to the Seokdang Museum at Dong-A University.
