Winter operations also planned

Korean Air will operate a direct flight route three times a week to Lisbon, Portugal, a popular travel destination in Southern Europe.

Korean Air announced on the 3rd that it will operate scheduled charter flights directly to Lisbon, Portugal, from September 11 to October 25.

The flights will operate round-trip three times a week (a total of 20 times during the period) with KE921 departing from Incheon to Lisbon and KE922 from Lisbon to Incheon. Departures are scheduled every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, using a Boeing 787-9 equipped with a total of 269 seats.

This scheduled charter flight operation is the only direct route to Lisbon from the Northeast Asia region. Until now, travelers had to transit through neighboring countries such as France or Spain to visit Lisbon.

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and is located near the coast. It features several UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites and is famous as the birthplace of the egg tart.

Tickets for the scheduled charter flights to Lisbon can be purchased like regular airline tickets through the Korean Air website, mobile application (app), or travel agencies. Korean Air plans to continue operating these scheduled charter flights during the winter season as well.
