‘Leading Coexistence with Local Communities!’… Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters Holds Nuclear Communication Committee Meeting

Sharing Time for Special Activity Implementation Plan

On the 29th of last month, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters held the '2024 2nd Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters Nuclear Communication Committee Meeting.'

Kim Han-seong, head of the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters, is giving a greeting at the Nuclear Power Communication Committee.

Comprising 14 members, the meeting shared key activities of Wolseong Headquarters' community coexistence cooperation from March to April, including volunteer work distributing janchi-guksu noodles at the Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Marathon Festival, this year's health checkup project for residents in East Gyeongju, support projects for the East Gyeongju Senior College, and plans for special activities in celebration of Family Month.

In celebration of Family Month in May, detailed agendas regarding the '100-Year Longevity Village Certification Project' and the 'Generational Appreciation Gift Presentation Project' were explained.

Notably, among the total population of East Gyeongju, the proportion of seniors aged 90 and above is approximately 2.8 times higher than the national average and about 1.8 times higher than that of Gyeongsangbuk-do, designating it as a longevity region.

Kim Han-seong, head of Wolseong Headquarters, stated, “Through the operation of the Communication Committee, we regularly share our headquarters' current issues and business directions for regional coexistence development, and we will continue to strive for active communication with the community.”
