Goryeong-gun Receives 'Top Excellence Award' in Regulatory Reform Performance Evaluation

Selected as an Excellent Institution for 3 Consecutive Years

Goryeong-gun (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) announced on the 2nd that it received the Grand Prize at the 2024 Regulatory Reform Performance Evaluation Awards ceremony held by Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The "Regulatory Reform Performance Evaluation" assessed the regulatory reform efforts over the year for 22 cities and counties in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The evaluation was conducted through review and verification based on four government joint evaluation indicators and six Gyeongsangbuk-do self-assessment indicators.

Throughout 2023, Goryeong-gun achieved the Grand Prize and was selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years by promoting community-centered regulatory reforms that residents can feel, including ▲ holding the Goryeong-gun Regulatory Reform Contest and agenda discovery meetings ▲ winning the Excellence Award at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Regulatory Improvement Contest ▲ improving registration regulations through the regulatory responsibility system ▲ operating a visiting regulatory reporting center ▲ conducting a regulatory difficulty survey of 60 local small and medium-sized enterprises ▲ forming a regulatory innovation TF team.

Governor Lee Nam-cheol of Goryeong-gun said, "In a situation where the perception of local regulatory innovation is declining, we were able to achieve good results by paying attention to and listening to unreasonable regulations centered on people's livelihoods and the field," adding, "We will strive to revitalize the local economy through prompt regulatory improvements."
