AI and Fintech Advanced Talent Development... National Pukyong University Selected as New Institution for 'K-Digital Training'

National Pukyong University (President Jang Young-su) has launched a new project to train core digital talents in advanced industries such as AI and fintech.

On the 2nd, National Pukyong University announced that it was selected as an operating institution for the first half of 2024 K-Digital Training courses by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training.

K-Digital Training is a vocational training project in which universities or private companies participate as training institutions to provide training courses in digital and new technology fields.

National Pukyong University plans to cultivate high-level advanced AI and fintech talents by utilizing the infrastructure of university facilities, equipment, and faculty specialized in advanced fields, together with participating organizations such as the Korea Fintech Federation (Chairman Hong Jun-young) and Pine VT Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoon Hyung-young).

To this end, the university will operate the ‘Hyper AI·Go Block, Finbot Project’ course based on the golang language developed by Google.

The program includes 480 hours of theoretical education and 480 hours of practical projects such as hackathons and demo days, aiming to train golang programmers to a level equivalent to four years of industry experience, as required by leading digital companies recently.

Professor No Maeng-seok (Big Data Convergence Major), who is responsible for the project, said, “We will devote ourselves to making our university a focal point for training advanced AI and fintech talents in the rapidly evolving advanced digital field.”
