Yujin Group's financial affiliate, Yujin Investment & Securities, announced on the 2nd that it conducted a volunteer activity to 'create and donate furniture for low-income households' in celebration of its 70th anniversary.

This activity is one of the social contribution programs prepared to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Yujin Investment & Securities. About 20 employees who voluntarily expressed their intention to participate gathered last month at a workshop located in Yongsan-gu to make five children's bookshelves and ten cutting boards. The produced bookshelves and cutting boards were donated on April 30 to local children's centers in Jongno-gu and Jung-gu that support after-school learning for low-income children and adolescents.

Im Dong-gyu, a manager at Yujin Investment & Securities who participated in this program, said, "Making furniture by ourselves was more difficult than expected, but I worked with a sense of fulfillment thinking that it could help the local community and children even a little."

Yujin Investment & Securities, which will celebrate its 70th anniversary on May 12, has prepared a relay social contribution program with a commitment to reinforce environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management while reaffirming its management policy of being a 'company that creates a warm society.' Since last month, the 'Employees' 200 Million Steps Walking Challenge' has been underway, and a volunteer activity to produce braille cubes for the visually impaired is also in progress.

Meanwhile, in addition to this relay social contribution, Yujin Investment & Securities plans to continue the employee autonomous themed volunteer activities introduced last year. Employees who wish to volunteer can choose their preferred activity among ▲cultivating Yujin Forest in Noeul Park, Sangam-dong ▲serving meals to the homeless at Yeongdeungpo Homeless Center ▲serving meals at local children's centers ▲supporting art activities for employees with disabilities, and carry out volunteer work with the company's support.
