First, from this day for four days, at the world-renowned art fair 'Frieze New York,' five pieces of media art related to Kim Whanki's works will be showcased on the 2024 LG OLED Evo TV. The media art production involves Professor Park Je-sung from Seoul National University, artist An Mano, and artist Kim Dae-hwan, among others.

Also, at the New York Korean Cultural Center's special exhibition held from this day until the 13th of next month to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the center's opening and the inauguration of its new building, media art related to Kim Whanki's works expressed on LG OLED Evo will be exhibited alongside original abstract paintings by Kim Whanki.

LG Electronics explained that it participated in the exhibition to reexamine Kim Whanki's art world in New York on the 50th anniversary of his passing. Kim Whanki is recognized for completing his 'full-surface point painting' art style while active in New York from 1963 to 1974.

Visitors can enjoy media art related to Kim Whanki's representative work 'Red Point Painting' on the 97-inch (approximately 245 cm diagonal) wireless OLED TV 'LG Signature OLED M' and the 97-inch and 83-inch (approximately 211 cm diagonal) OLED Evo (G4) with overwhelming picture quality.

The 2024 LG OLED Evo is equipped with the OLED-dedicated AI picture and sound processor 'Alpha 11.' Alpha 11 autonomously understands the content creator's intent and user preferences, correcting the video at the pixel level and converting 2-channel audio sources into virtual 11.1.2 channels to deliver rich sound. Based on AI deep learning performance improved up to four times, it distinguishes the user's voice to provide personalized content recommendations and picture settings.

Oh Hye-won, Head of Brand Communication at LG Electronics' HE (Home Entertainment) Business Division, said, "We are proud to introduce Kim Whanki to New York through LG OLED Evo," adding, "Through the further evolved LG OLED Evo with Affectionate Intelligence, we will provide creative inspiration to artists and new cultural experiences to customers."
