Gangseo-gu-Health Management Association-Community Vitamin Support for Children at Risk of Malnutrition

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) has partnered with the Korea Health Management Association and Nanum Vitamin to support the healthy growth of children from low-income families.

On the 30th at 2 PM, the district office held a signing ceremony for the "Support Agreement for Children at Risk of Food Insecurity," attended by District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon, Lee Eun-hee, Secretary General of the Health Association, and Kim Ha-yeon, CEO of Nanum Vitamin.

According to the agreement, the district will provide administrative support such as identifying and selecting children from low-income families at risk of food insecurity; the Health Association will fully fund 150 million KRW for purchasing meal coupons; and Nanum Vitamin will manage the operation of the meal coupon usage platform, NabiYam.

After a screening process, the district plans to provide 1,000 children at risk of food insecurity with 15 meal coupons worth 10,000 KRW each over two months starting in July. These coupons can be registered and used through the NabiYam app.

District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “We will do our best to create an environment where children, the future of our society, can grow up healthy and happy without worrying about hunger or meals due to external factors.”

Meanwhile, the district plans to expand the usage locations for the child meal cards, focusing on balanced meals and foods preferred by children at risk of food insecurity.
