Choi Hogwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Signs Business Agreement with Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute on the 30th
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, signed a business agreement on the afternoon of the 30th with the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute located in Seodaemun District.
At the signing ceremony, attended by Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, and Jeong Hae-sik, Director of the Korea Self-Sufficiency Welfare Development Institute, an agreement was made to support 1 billion KRW for the relocation construction costs of the Yeongdeungpo Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
Currently, the Yeongdeungpo Regional Self-Sufficiency Center has been leasing the same space for 11 years, and as the number of participants in the self-sufficiency project continues to increase, the center has faced difficulties in operation due to the aging and cramped building.
Through this business agreement, the district plans to provide an open space for residents and expand projects to support the independence of participants, creating various opportunities.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “The self-sufficiency project serves as a ladder for the vulnerable to lead independent lives,” and added, “At the newly established Yeongdeungpo Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, we will strengthen customized education and projects tailored to individual capabilities, actively supporting and encouraging participants’ stable settlement in the local community.”
