Movie 'Simindeokhui' Director Appointed to Prosecution Policy Advisory Committee... Kwon Young-jun, Kyungsillyeon Advisor, Named Chairman

Director Park Young-joo, who directed the film 'Citizen Deok-hee' dealing with voice phishing damage, has been appointed as a member of the Prosecutor's Policy Advisory Committee.

On the 30th, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office launched the 2nd Prosecutor's Policy Advisory Committee and presented appointment letters to 10 new members, including Director Park. The chairman is Kwon Young-jun, standing advisor of the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice and distinguished professor at the State University of New York's School of Business.

Other members include Yoon Young-ho, Vice President for Planning at Seoul National University (Professor of Family Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital); Kwon Seok-cheon, partner at law firm Taepyungyang (former editorial writer at JoongAng Ilbo and former head of JTBC news); Shim Seok-tae, professor at Semyung University Graduate School of Journalism (former head of SBS news bureau); Kim Sang-wook, professor of physics at Kyung Hee University; Park Won-ho, professor of political science and diplomacy at Seoul National University; Yang Hong-seok, lawyer at law firm Igong; Kim Ye-won, lawyer at the Center for Disability Rights Law; and Park Sung-hyun, former national archery team coach.

The Supreme Prosecutors' Office has been operating the Prosecutor's Policy Advisory Committee since December 2021 to gather expert opinions from academia and the legal community for the establishment and promotion of various policies.

A representative from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office stated, "The advisory committee is composed of 10 members recognized for their knowledge, experience, and expertise from various sectors of society, including academia, law, media, medical, culture, and sports. Going forward, the prosecution will actively reflect the diverse opinions of the advisory committee in prosecutorial policies to establish desirable prosecutorial systems that meet the public's expectations."
