Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Holds Practical Training on Public Procurement

The public procurement market is a massive market worth 196 trillion won in 2022, accounting for 9.8% of the gross domestic product, which increased by 39% compared to 141 trillion won in 2018. The number of procurement companies rose from 400,000 in 2018 to 570,000 in 2023, an increase of 42.7%. However, local small and medium-sized enterprises face difficulties entering the public procurement market, such as the Korea ON-line E-Procurement System comprehensive shopping mall, due to lack of information.

Accordingly, the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce planned this training to contribute to increasing sales by enhancing the utilization and understanding of electronic bidding and multiple supplier contracts, thereby improving the winning rate in public and private bids and opportunities for public procurement deliveries for local companies struggling with orders due to the economic downturn.

The training was held with about 90 executives and employees of companies in the Gwangju area attending, and proceeded in the order of Part 1: Electronic Bidding Practical Training, Part 2: Multiple Supplier Contract Practical Training, and Q&A session.
