Kim Yunsang, 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (right), is attending a volunteer activity of the Happiness Empathy Volunteer Group at the National Seoul School for the Blind in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 30th, taking a walk with visually impaired children.
On the 30th, Kim Yunsang, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, along with ministry staff, participated in volunteer activities at the National Seoul School for the Blind located in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
This volunteer event was organized to commemorate Disability Day on the 20th, aiming to understand the difficulties faced by visually impaired children and to encourage their academic and cultural activities. About 60 members of the Ministry of Economy and Finance Lottery Commission's Happiness Empathy Volunteer Group joined the volunteer work alongside Vice Minister Kim.
Vice Minister Kim took part in performances with the children, engaged in play activities and quiz events, and then handed out Children's Day gifts. Afterwards, they spent time communicating and bonding through experiential learning activities such as walking and tactile play.
Vice Minister Kim said, "Through this volunteer activity, I directly experienced the difficulties faced by visually impaired children, and at the same time, I felt hope and comfort from the bright and resilient children." He added, "We will continue to maintain ongoing interest and support so that the children can keep nurturing their dreams."
