JLKE is partnering with Indonesia's largest hospital chain, which has over 3,000 doctors and 8,000 nurses and auxiliary staff, to promote the supply of medical AI software.
JLKE (CEO Dongmin Kim), Korea's first listed AI medical company, announced on the 30th that it signed a business agreement with the medical consulting company PT Kind Communication (hereafter PT) at the InterContinental COEX Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to export medical AI software aimed at improving Indonesia's public healthcare services.
Through this agreement, JLKE will supply its AI medical solutions, including brain hemorrhage detection (JLK-ICH) and cerebral aneurysm detection (JLK-UIA), to Siloam Hospitals, which operates 41 hospitals and 30 clinics, and collaborate in fostering Indonesia's digital healthcare ecosystem.
Prior to the agreement, four parties?NIPA (National IT Industry Promotion Agency), the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Siloam Hospitals, and PT?signed a business agreement to support the entry of Korean medical AI companies into the Indonesian market, agreeing to actively support JLKE and others.
Industry insiders interpret that JLKE's active participation in NIPA's Doctor Answer (AI precision medical solution) project and its continuous supply of medical AI to domestic and international hospitals were key factors in the successful conclusion of this agreement.
NIPA President Sungwook Heo stated, "Korean companies like JLKE are striving for the global advancement of medical AI," adding, "We will work together with domestic companies to improve Indonesia's public healthcare environment and support the expansion of the medical software market."
JLKE plans to actively utilize Snappy, a recently launched integrated mobile medical app that has attracted attention, to target the Indonesian market.
Snappy is equipped with 11 full-cycle AI solutions for stroke, enabling verification of a patient's stroke status anytime and anywhere, and offers various communication features such as medical staff-exclusive chat and video sharing functions.
JLKE CEO Dongmin Kim said, "It is encouraging to partner with Siloam, Indonesia's largest hospital chain with over 10,000 medical personnel," adding, "We plan to expand medical AI exports by leveraging the Snappy platform, which is fully equipped with our full-cycle stroke AI solution, MEDIHUB STROKE."
He continued, "Indonesia, with a population of about 280 million and as a leading ASEAN country, will serve as a forward base for entering the Southeast Asian medical AI market," and added, "Along with market entry through FDA approval applications, we will expand product supply to Japan, Europe, and other Asian markets."
