Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Su-hee) plans to hold a recruitment briefing session for overseas relief workers targeting middle-aged job seekers on June 14.
Applications for participation will be accepted starting May 1.
This recruitment briefing session is the second one following 2023, jointly hosted by the Gangdong 50 Plus Center and the Korea branch of M?decins Sans Fronti?res (Doctors Without Borders).
The relief worker positions being recruited include ▲HR/Finance and Accounting Administrative Staff ▲Supply Chain Manager ▲Technical Worker (Logistician) ▲Mental Health Activity Manager ▲Epidemiologist ▲Water and Sanitation Manager ▲Nurse ▲Doctor, among others. Attendees of the briefing session will receive information from recruiters about the qualifications, working conditions, and hiring procedures for relief workers.
In particular, this briefing session will invite a middle-aged relief worker currently active in Nigeria to share real work cases and field stories. It is expected to be a meaningful session for middle-aged job seekers as a role that allows them to realize their rich experience and social contribution aspirations.
Kim Hee, Director of the Education Support Division, stated, “The middle-aged generation plays the role of the ‘backbone’ as the main force in economic activities,” adding, “We will continue to actively discover jobs that utilize the experience and wisdom of the middle-aged generation to contribute to society, thereby expanding job selection opportunities for this age group.”
