Opening the European Market... Gyeongbuk TP Selected for 'Future Car Parts Industry Transition Ecosystem Foundation' Project

Securing a Total Project Budget of 30 Billion KRW Including 15 Billion KRW in National Funds by 2028

Gyeongbuk Technopark was finally selected on the 19th for the “Eco-friendly Lightweight Material Application Future Car Parts Industry Transition Ecosystem Foundation Project” led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, securing a total project cost of 30 billion KRW, including 15 billion KRW in national funding, until 2028.

The Eco-friendly Lightweight Material Application Future Car Parts Industry Transition Ecosystem Foundation Project, located in Danam-ri, Eomo-myeon, Gimcheon-si, consists of ▲establishing a Future Car Parts Eco-friendly Material Transition Support Center ▲installing 12 types of material property evaluation and reliability testing equipment ▲building a database of design and analysis data for parts applying recycled materials ▲establishing testing and evaluation standards to ensure reliability, and plans to support technology development and overseas expansion for related companies.


Gyeongbuk TP plans to enhance the completeness of the project by first securing analysis and material properties of recycled materials, establishing reliability evaluation standards, building and utilizing unit test evaluation equipment for materials and parts, and securing specialized personnel for full-scale project promotion.


Additionally, it plans to actively support local companies’ overseas expansion by securing regional networks for export.


Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, said, “The demand for applying recycled materials to future car parts will increase further to revitalize the circular economy,” and added, “We hope that this project selection will be a breakthrough to foster global small and strong companies that meet European market export standards.”
