Hong Joon-pyo, the mayor of Daegu, posted on his Facebook on the 29th, starting with "It is neither politically ethical nor polite for a defeated leader to come out and make a fuss like picking beans in a burning house." This is interpreted as a criticism of Han Dong-hoon, the former emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, who suffered a crushing defeat in the recent general election, following a similar post on the 27th.

Mayor Hong wrote, "Let us at least live with a minimum conscience. With what face do you go around making a fuss at this time? Exercise restraint," adding, "The reason the right wing is better than the left wing is that it is not shameless, but if you forget even that, it will be difficult for the conservative right to recover."

He also added, "It has become a party where no one points this out. Since we grovelled under the one who destroyed us and even fought the general election, how bad do you think it is?"

Meanwhile, on the 27th, Mayor Hong also posted a criticism indirectly targeting former emergency committee chairman Han. He said, "If you don't even know the difference between a star (恒星) and a planet (行星) and act arrogantly, you will suffer a big loss. If a planet forgets its place and separates from the star, it will only become a cosmic orphan." He then criticized, "Watching Chinese opera face-changing, I think of Korean politicians," adding, "Thinking of those who change their faces several times a day, many were ousted in this general election, but Korean politics is still a stage for face-changing."
