An Opportunity for Reflection on Korean Society Projected in Taiwanese Society
TSMC, a guidebook to understand Taiwanese society, which has been at the center of attention due to cross-strait relations and other issues, will be published on May 3.
Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) announced on the 29th that Professors Hwang Woo-nyeom and Lee Jung-gi from the Department of Advertising and Public Relations will publish "Taiwan Seen Through Data and Indicators."
This book sheds light on the current state of Taiwanese society by utilizing various indicators and data that reflect the situations faced by countries around the world, and explains Taiwan's situation by comparing it with Korea.
The book is composed of 10 chapters, including ▲ Taiwan's democracy index ▲ Taiwan's global peace index ▲ Taiwanese identity and perceptions of unification ▲ Taiwan's human development index and gender inequality index ▲ Taiwan's global freedom index ▲ Taiwan's personal freedom index ▲ Taiwan's global press freedom index ▲ Taiwan's happiness index ▲ perceptions of life in Taiwan by foreign residents ▲ Taiwan's national competitiveness index.
The authors, Professors Hwang Woo-nyeom and Lee Jung-gi, said, "Various indicators of Taiwan, a country that has received relatively little attention from Korean society until now, will help Koreans reflect on and view Korean society," adding, "This process is also expected to greatly assist in seeking directions to solve various problems facing Korean society."
Professor Hwang Woo-nyeom and Professor Lee Jeong-gi of Dongmyung University are publishing "Taiwan Examined Through Data and Indicators."
